Doctoral Researcher — Conversational AI & Human-Robot Interaction

KTH Royal Institute of Technology · Stockholm, Sweden

Wrote and won a competitive 2,000,000 SEK grant (Digital Futures) to design and deliver a human-AI interaction prototype for Swedish-language learning, deployed in SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) classrooms in Stockholm

Leading a two-year applied AI project — from proposal, experiment design, and data collection through to a working conversational AI system for adult migrant learners

Directed and mentored 8 master's and 3 bachelor's thesis students across 3 universities

Built and ran user research studies (participatory design, usability testing) with real end users to shape product decisions

2020 — 2021

Associate Researcher

Furhat Robotics · Stockholm, Sweden

Applied research on multimodal language learning with the Furhat social robot platform, as part of an EU Horizon 2020-funded research fellowship (e-LADDA)
